Babil Khan’s ‘Logout’ Set to Debut on ZEE5 on April 18LOGOUT – RELEASE DATE

The upcoming thriller Logout, featuring Babil Khan in the lead, is scheduled to release on ZEE5 on April 18. The story explores the dark side of the social media universe.

Helmed by Amit Golani and penned by Biswapati Sarkar, the movie features notable performances by Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan.

Jointly backed by Digital 18 Media Private Limited and Posham Pa Pictures, Logout has already generated buzz on the international film festival scene.

The film was earlier screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival.

Logout centers around Pratyush (Babil Khan), a 26-year-old influencer who is on the cusp of hitting 10 million followers. However, his picture-perfect online persona begins to unravel when he becomes the target of a fan’s dangerous obsession, plunging him into a suspenseful chase that threatens to destroy his digital facade.

“Bringing Logout to life has been incredibly fulfilling. At its core, it explores the intense and sometimes disturbing dynamics between people and their digital dependencies — especially how we’re increasingly attached to our phones,” said Golani.

He added, “I’m immensely proud of what we’ve created. ZEE5 offers a global platform, and I’m excited that Logout will reach a vast audience. It’s a powerful, relevant story that I’m thrilled to share.”

Sarkar noted how the narrative resonates with the current times.

“The concept of being stuck in a digital space without a way out reflects real fears we all grapple with. I’m thankful to Amit, Babil, and the entire team for making this script come alive,” he said.

“I hope viewers see a reflection of their own digital lives in this story — it’s a timely look at our modern reality,” Sarkar added.

Babil expressed enthusiasm for the film’s release following its festival screenings.

“This character took me far beyond my comfort zone. It was a deep dive into the world of digital fame — captivating yet filled with unseen dangers,” he said.

“Playing a contemporary influencer and confronting the highs and lows of online stardom was both challenging and eye-opening, especially since the role is so unlike who I am off-screen,” Babil noted.
